OK 7th graders, you know that Gideon proved he had trust in God by taking an axe, and destroying his dad’s altar to the false god. It wasn’t easy for him to do, but he fought his fears and acted in faith. Today each one of us is called to demonstrate our faith in God by real actions, actions that sometimes are difficult to do, but that we know God is calling us to do. For your assignment, describe a time when you showed that you had real faith in God by something you did. This something may have not even been noticed by anyone else, but it took effort on your part, and it happened because you chose God’s way instead of a selfish way. 200 words, due Friday. For 10% extra credit, illustrate a cover page for the assignment!
