Application Process:
We are very pleased you are interested in joining Saint Bernadette School and its wonderful community. SBS uses the online platform called FACTS. FACTS will guide you through the various steps needed to create your account and apply. Applications are subject to a non-refundable $125 application fee.
- PreK 4 and Kindergarten: SBS has rolling admissions for both our PreK 4 class and Kindergarten. Once all necessary documents have been uploaded and the application fee has been received, we will review candidates and notify families via email regarding acceptance. (PreK 4 students must be four by September 1 and Kindergarten students must be five by September 1)
- Grades 1-8: Applications for grades 1-8 must be submitted, all required documents uploaded, and the application fee must be received no later than Friday, January 31st. Decisions regarding acceptance are made by our admissions committee and will be sent out via email in late February/early March. Applications received after the January 31st deadline will be part of our rolling admissions when and if space is available.
Required Documents:
The following documents are required as part of the application process:- Copy of applicant’s birth certificate
- Copy of applicant’s baptismal certificate (if Catholic)
- Teacher recommendation(s) for Grades 1-8 (emailed directly to the teachers through FACTS)
- Teacher recommendation for PreK 4 and Kindergarten (required if the child attends preschool and emailed directly to the teachers through FACTS)
- Copies of most recent report card and the previous year’s final report card for grades 1 through 8
- Copies of the most recent standardized testing results and last year’s final testing results for grades 2-8
- Educational testing results, including psycho-educational evaluations, IEP’s or 504 plans (if applicable)
“Bee” for a Morning:
All prospective students applying for grades 1-8 must complete a shadow visit before acceptance. This allows your child to see what our school day looks like. Your child(ren) will be partnered with a student of their same age/grade for the morning. They will attend their classes, specials, and join them for lunch and recess. They will then speak with our principal or assistant principal for an informal interview. Appointments will be scheduled by the admissions office.
Enrollment:
Upon acceptance, students must be enrolled in the school through FACTS. A non-refundable deposit of $100 will be due at that time. All updated medical forms are due no later than August 15th 2025.
