To help you remember them, I am listing them here in the order we learned them, along with the definition of discipline. Try not to forget them as we approach the end of the year! All Bible verses taken from the New American Bible translation.
Discipline: “That faithful friend who helps you become the best version of yourself: the person God meant you to be”
Exodus 14:14 : “The Lord Himself will fight for you, you have only to keep still”
Isaiah 40:31 : “They that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings. They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.”
John 3:16 : “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.”
Psalm 103:8 : “Merciful and gracious is the LORD, slow to anger, abounding in mercy.”
Hebrews 4:16 : “So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find grace for timely help.” |
